"You simply have to trust the developers to know how to do their job, rather than looking for the gaming to arise purely out of additional cities."
I don't think so.
I don't really care to have 100 tracks in London, i would prefer to get a couple of tracks in several cities instead, and i know i aint alone.
I have to trust the developers to know how to do their job?
Well, let me wait and see, anyway it is all about Marketing, few cities in a PGR, then next time we can bring new cities in PGR 4, the cities people was expecting for PGR 3...
At least, if they really do want to make monney, i do hope they will realease additional disks with other cities.
If PGR4 provides less than 6 cities, I will wait a potential add-on with additional cities to buy the game, and then even if i have to pay extra monney, but i do want a full entertaining game, and i do want to travel at the wheel of a Ferrari in many cities. Travelling is part of the dream as driving an expensive car, then if you can match both, it's the perfect recipy.
I can insure you i am not the only one to think that way.

Re: more cities!!!!
@snapcake
your post that you cant see is there its just 'invisible' 'cause its in the wrong colour!
edit you post and change the colour of your text to white!!
happens sometimes!! :-)
some Sun drenched Med cities/towns, making use of all the new lighting effects etc The southern spanish coast road is unreal for speed how about one long trip "Barcelona-Malaga-Marbella-Tarifa..etc" 170 being the slowest speed!!
(That road's known as "The Road of Death" its got some mad drivers doing insane speeds, and around the Marbella/porto banus area ("The Golden mile") has 1 of , if not the most High end sports cars of anywhere in europe) , but my number One choice would have to be....
Dublin--Republic of Ireland..
Would be an amazing city to bring to PGR3+
The amount of twisting winding streets, with long fast straights would be perfect for
a driving challenge, and hey Bizarre you guys are just across the water, come for some R'n'R at the same time with your digital camera's and you'll know what im talking about, ill drive you around in a bently Gt continental at 4-5am and show you some amazing routes!
i know your cities are all done and dusted from a decision point of view early in your developement cycle but perhaps for future reference!!
best of luck and cant wait to play and experience for real what you guys have worked so hard on..
as we say in Ireland.. "More power to You..." (apt for PGR3 dont u think!!)

(i posted the above in the "what cities would u like to see.." thread seems to be a couple of threads on the same issue!)

lol. You're funny.
The smallest city we are getting is Las Vegas (barring the 'ring) and
that's not a small city at all. Part of travelling the world to other
cities is to see the whole city you go to. In PGR2, we barely got a
glimpse of each city and all they have to offer! I personally was very
disappointed in how they handled Chicago's overall size in PGR2. They
only took the Near North Side and didn't bring into play the best parts
of it! The farthest south they went was Randolph, which is about the
200 N area. I know when I travel, I like to see the whole thing. If I
were to go to New York, why would I want to only see Manhattan when I
can see everything else also?. Why would I go to Tokyo to only see the Tokyo
Tower? Why would I go to London to only see Trafalgar Square? If they
incorporated Las Vegas into PGR2, it would have been no larger than the
area covered in Barcelona, and we all know it would be The Strip and
the two streets parallel to the west and east of it. Why would I want
to see that when there is more to Vegas (it would be hilarious if they
allowed us to travel up to the Extraterrestial Highway out there)? I
would rather have four to five "full" cities than 8-10 "one-eighth"
cities.
Boo Yea! Guess who sold the Whitman Place!?

Guess that the "city planing" of PGR3 has been finished anyway but if there'd be a chance to get more cities, I'd like to see those:
i. Munich, Germany
ii. Berne, Suisse (donno why but I've been there like twice and definitely liked the city!)
iii. Houston, TX, United States of America
iv. Miami, FL, United States of America
v. Los Angeles, CA, United States of America
That's it for now... ![Big Smile [:D]](/emoticons/emotion-2.gif)

First, they would need to pick cities with a good variety in its streets. All the tracks in PGR2 had that. A few from PGR1 were OK. PGR3 is pretty much hit or miss. Then they need to map a larger section of the city and give us the same tools the developers have to make our custom tracks. I don't mean complex world building tools. I mean those metal gaurd rails that they put in to block of the paths that aren't part of the track. Just load the whole section of the city and let us put those gaurd rails where we want them instead of this lame way-point system and very, very, VERY lame glowing FREAKIN' TRANSPARENT barriers whose locations are hard to tell from a distance and can't be adjusted in any way shape or form. Then we could create tracks just a detailed as them. We could change the width of a corner (or straight) simply by moving the gaurd rails closer together. Go back and examine some of the tracks in PGR2 up close to see what I mean. Just think being able to make tracks in cities like Prague, Rio, Rome etc... Think of being able to make tracks that a new player wouldn't be able to tell was custom made without paying attention in the lobby. If we could put up real gaurd rails instead of thos glowy things and put them where we wanted instead of being limited by that stupid *** waypoint system, then the variety of tracks would truly be infinite. Also give us the opportunity download custom tracks after racing on them and then tinker with them and send the revised version to the original creator. That would be sweet.
OK, I'll stop ranting now.
