You can be angry as you want to be, but don't even think that because of your thinking at RUF as a car manufacturer, everybody has to think as you do.

If you search for RUF, every link you'll find will teach you to talk about RUF as a (I textually cite) "Porsche Tuner", "tuner RUF to tweak the latest 911 incarnation" "The 2005 RUF Porsche Rt 12 Turbo 05", "German tuner Alois Ruf" "They are working together to produce the RK Spyder a roadster based on the Porsche 911"

I've already seen the car from the image you linked, i don't remember where exactly, time ago.
It appears a "porsche thing" (you first have mentioned Carrera GT by yourself) but i won't discuss if it's a Porsche Car o a Ruf's Project, 'cause right now I have no information to care of it.

Even if we accept that it's a RUF car, even if we want to think at it like a all-made-in-RUF car, it would mean RUF is a CAR MANUFACTURER (but still I have to use a lot of imagination), but the Porsche Cars they take care of, will still, in my opinion, remain Porsche-based cars, not made by RUF.

If you take a chassis, you take the project that built that car, you take the livery, you take the IDEA that's behind that CAR.
You can modify it, cancel the logo or replace it, have a brand new car to present to the world, but still it's Porsche-based, it descend from a someone else's project.

If I can't teach you about that, because of my pathetical english, maybe the F1 rules will:

This rules say that you can choose and put the engine you want, the brakes you want, the wheels you wont, the tyres you want in a car. But the thing that is important is the chassis. That's what determine the name of the MANUFACTURER.
It will be forever MC LAREN MERCEDES, as soon as MC LAREN will project and develop and build the chassis. Mercedes can develop Engines, can develop brakes, tyres...whatever...but still the chassis will decide the team's name.

That's why BAR HONDA will become HONDA, 'cause HONDA will provide not only to the engine, but also to the chassis and almost every component that takes part in the main project.
And it's been the same with TOYOTA and RENAULT.
And will also be the same for BMW, with the definitive disappearence of Williams (sigh...)

Believe me, it's not a RUF's disappreciation.
I don't have nothing wrong with RUF! RUF's cars are welcome in every game, as long as Porsche are denied, and even if they are.

But I simply can't consider RUF as the manufacturer of  modified original Porsches.

PS: one last thing...please...everyone's free to think as he want, but before you accuse someone's thinking or someone's ideas, please, take care of yours. I always say it's better consider everything in a 360 degrees way, before choosing a "one way" direction.
